Wildlife Education and Research Center

Architectural rendering of the Wildlife Education and Research Center

One of the most important aspects of wildlife management is research. Pennsylvania is known for its ground breaking research on whitetail deer and black bear. Currently, there is no central location in which wildlife biologists can conduct their research. They work with various universities and other agencies in several locations to conduct their work.

“The Foundation envisions a state of the art research facility … near State College that will house offices and laboratories for the wildlife biologists.”

The Foundation envisions a state of the art research facility to be located near State College that will house offices and laboratories for the wildlife biologists.

Once the research is concluded, it is imperative that educational programs convey the results to the public and to other scientists. The Center will also house various wildlife exhibits and an auditorium where the public can learn about all the birds and mammals in our state.

Currently the Foundation is working with JSA Architecture to design the Wildlife Education and Research Center. In the future, donors will be recognized with plaques and naming rights for offices and rooms.
