Runners move across the course for the 2012 Five-Miler.

Runners move across the course for the 2012 Five-Miler.

The Mid Penn Trailblazers, organizers of the run, set a goal this year to raise the five year total to top the $10,000 mark.  Thanks to a total of 80 participants Mid Penn Trailblazers reached their mark.  The WFEEF 5 Miler covered the course of dirt roads and grassy lanes stretching across State Game Lands 252 near Allenwood.  Proceeds from this event support Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation.

The Mid Penn Trailblazers is primarily a trail-based running club, geared towards adventure racing and other out of the ordinary events and activities.  The club, which is open to all levels of athletes who share a common love for the outdoors and its preservation, is registered and insured with the Road Runners Club of America.

The Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation was established to provide permanent private support for wildlife habitat enhancement, wildlife research and education, land preservation, and for the establishment of a Wildlife Education and Research Center in State College.  The Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit Foundation. The Endowment Fund of the Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation continues to grow through contributions at all levels, including fund-raising events like the recent, successful fifth annual Wildlife For Everyone 5 Miler.
